June Roundup

A little late with my Katie the Scrapbook Lady's Roundup this month but still have 6 months in a row!


What books and/or magazines did I read this month?
Got the newest Scrapbook Etc magazine and started rereading Dear Ilene by Ilene Meckley

What movies and/or T.V. shows did I watch this month?
Caught up on session 1 of Kyle XY and started watching session 2. most of the other summer shows haven't started yet

Elisa's current favorites this month are everything, Dora, Diego, Blue's Clues, and lots of Disney movies. Night at the Museum has been watched about 20 times

Still have the Blockbuster movie pass and have been watching a lot of series on DVD and a ton of movies. I have most enjoyed watching House session 1 and 2


What special days did I celebrate and how?
Last day of school - was so ready for summer
Elisa's friend Mya had a summer party in the park with a jumper, face painting and a cotton candy machine

What gifts did I give and/or receive?
got some goodies from other teachers and friends for the end of the school year

What illnesses or health concerns did I have?
Have been gaining a lot of weight and having headaches again.
Big issue has been that my grandmother had an 8 inch abscess in her leg which has causes a ton of issues. Good news is that we have been able to get her new carpet, paint and refinish her bedroom furniture while she has been in a convalescent hospital on IV antibiotics

What fun things did I do with my friends and/or family?
Party at the park
Working on the backyard with the fruit trees


What new foods, recipes or restaurants did I try this month?
the plums and cherry plums in our new backyard

What special or unusual purchases did I make?
Finished paying for TLC Leadership session and Convention

What were this month's disappointments?
Grandma being sick
Mom still needs knee surgery and is still waiting for the insurance company to finish negotiations with the local hospital

What were my accomplishments this month?
Made it through another school year

Anything else noteworthy to record?
Elisa is getting so big, she sang her ABC's all by herself this week : )
